Annah highlighted the importance of sustainable forestry and the positive impact of the FSC certification system. Though the students were already familiar with the concept of sustainable forestry, Annah's words gave them a newfound appreciation for environmental conservation.
In the lecture, several students expressed their interest in working with FSC Eastern Africa. To gain hands-on experience and support FSC’s mission, they sought learning and internship placements.
FSC Eastern Africa is thrilled to witness such enthusiasm and dedication among Makerere University students. "Their genuine interest in sustainable management and conservation reinforces our belief in the importance of nurturing environmental stewards," says Annah Agasha.
“It will be a pleasure to work with these talented individuals and shape a greener, more sustainable future together. To preserve our precious forests and promote responsible forestry practices, we need their passion and commitment.”
