A report has been published and approved in August 2018, thanks to the work of Paul Opanga FSC Manager Labour Issues and former sub-regional Coordinator for Eastern Africa and 06 FSC members, setting the generic criteria and indicators based on ILO Core Conventions principles.

Using this report the Standards Development Groups from Cameroon and Republic of Congo have adapted the generic indicators within their respective National Forest Stewardship Standards, for Cameroon on 01 and 02 November 2017, and for Republic of Congo on 29 and 30 November 2017.

The last step to finalize the Standards for the certification of forests in Cameroon and Republic of Congo during the first quarter of 2018 will be the integration of the regional set of IFLs indicators (a last meeting to finalize it is planned for early February 2018).
The finalization of the National Standard for the Republic of Gabon shall come a little bit later but is still planned for the 1st semester of 2018.
