The NRA has an effective date for implementation of 03 April 2018. As per Clause 3.2 of FSC-STD-40-005 V3-1: The organization shall adapt its Due Diligence System (DDS) to use FSC risk assessments within six (6) months of the date of FSC risk assessment approval by FSC, unless an extension is justified and approved by the certification body.
The NRA developed through the collaboration of a Working Group with representatives from the environmental, social, and economic chambers of FSC as well as stakeholder consultation with key experts was sent out for public consultation from 14 October 2017 – 13 December 2017.
