Standard Bank hosted an innovation station that enabled new developments in water-purification technology and hemp as a building material to be introduced to the audience of built-industry professionals and sustainability practitioners.

This was the first time FSC Africa exhibited their Forests For All Forever campaign at an event of this nature. The clearly-defined messaging on the stand drew many curious architects, builders, banking and project managers as well as those involved in eco-labelling, sustainability certifications and engineers.

The key aim for FSC at this event was to raise awareness of its presence in SA to a highly relevant target audience of built industry professionals and high profile consumer brands.

Delegates were encouraged to visit the exhibition stands via a QR code collection drive where one lucky winner could go home after the conference with a powerhouse of energy. This encouraged visits to exhibitors and opened up opportunities to introduce FSC to a more personable consumer and business-to-business audience.

Visitors to the FSC stand were treated to an informative video about the projects, products, people and forests that make FSC a worldwide certification scheme of forest stewards. Colourful and insightful marketing material was available for those who required more information about the processes and the FSC branded cork fridge magnets were given to contacts as well as 2016 desk calendars to encourage brand recall after the event.

Discussions and meetings were held at the stand and some sound connections made within the sectors of media, banking and sustainability, as well as social and greening initiatives.
