Because of certain realities and circumstances encountered, the Standards Development Group in the DRC has extended the public consultation period of Draft 0 of the FSC National Standard in the DRC until the end of October 2022.

The FSC Standards Development Group, officially recognised by FSC-International in May 2015, has been working since June 2015 on the adaptation of the existing FSC sub-regional standard. They have just produced the second draft of the new FSC National Standard for forest certification in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Border Timbers and The Wattle Company have reinstated their FSC forest management certification in May 2022, after a 10-year period. This was achieved under the Group Scheme certification services offered by CMO Logistics (Pty) Ltd.
