The Scope
We are looking for an engaged Office Administrator who brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC’s mission, to work with us in a multinational environment.
The Office Administrator provides secretarial and office support for the FSC Africa Regional Office. You will have some leeway for independent action and may handle confidential and sensitive matters and material.

Main Roles & Responsibilities
Working closely with the Operations Officer, the Office administrator will:
- Ensure the FSC Africa regional office is open during business days and maintains presence during work hours.
- Receive, screen, distribute, monitor and file incoming office correspondences and documentation.
- Maintain supply of office consumables and support smooth running of office.
- Participate in the organization and facilitation of official meetings.
- Provide administrative support to ensure the delivery of services.
- Support procurement and payment processes and financial reporting.
- Organize and maintain the filing and archiving system for the Operations Unit.
- Professionally answer calls and promptly respond to customers and staff inquiries.
- Welcome customers and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Any other duties assigned.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in an administration-related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience and knowledge in office management and best practices.
- Ability to prioritize and work efficiently while maintaining quality of work and delivering results within established timeline.
- Proficient in written and oral communications with ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of applications—Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong multitasking ability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to be discrete and able to keep confidential information.
- Experience at working with INGO /NGO or within a donor environment will be viewed favourably.

Financial Accountant, based in Nairobi, Kenya

The Scope
We are looking for an engaged Financial Accountant who brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC’s mission, to work with us in a multinational environment.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for key finance functions as part of the operations support team. Based in Nairobi, Kenya but working in collaboration with subregional teams, this position will ensure FSC – AFRICA financial transactions are complete, accurate and comply with organisational policies and procedures.

Main Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Director, the Financial Accountant will:
- Manage procurements, process payments, transfers, reimbursements and manage the advance payment system.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, and reconciliation of bank statements.
- Follow up suppliers, grantees, and partner’s accounts.
- Carry out regular internal audits and support external audit processes.
- Manage and ensure safekeeping of financial records in line with best accounting and bookkeeping practices.
- Use accounting platform and other software application, such as Excel spreadsheets, statistical packages, and graphic packages to assemble and manage accounting data for reporting purposes.
- Provide timely and accurate processing of payroll for staff assigned.
- Manage all FSC Africa assets and insurance policies, and keep the asset register up to date and oversee fixed asset reports from other subregional offices.
- Provide appropriate training on financial management and administrative systems to ensure compliance by all FSC Africa staff.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance management, Business Administration or any other related fields.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience and knowledge in finance and financial accounting.
- Sound experience working with financial management systems.
- Demonstrated IT skills including experience in Office 365 (Word, Excel and Outlook) and accounting software.
- Demonstrated experience in expense classification, data entry, and expenditure reporting.
- A track record of integrity and adherence to organisational policies and procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills and able to maintain good relationships with colleagues and external counterparts and stakeholders.
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills Ability to be discrete and able to keep confidential information.
