Following the launch of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) interim national standard (INS) in Kenya in October 2021, the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) selected the forest blocks of Eburu, Kinale, Geta, and Muringato for FSC forest management (FM) certification. During a working visit of FSC to KFS on September 6, 2022, the institution affirmed its commitment to undertake the FSC FM certification.
