2021 marks the start of the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration which aims to prevent, halt and reverse the degradation of ecosystems worldwide. The intended outcome is to increase eco-logical resilience and productivity by putting trees and forests back into degraded forest landscapes at a massive scale.
